Belagavi, Jan 03 Visvesvaraya Technological University will be organizing its 17th Annual Convocation on 9th of this month at VTU premises.
VTU vice chancellor Dr. karishiddappa addressing in a press conference here today said that, Governor of Karnataka Shri Vajubhai R Vala will preside over the convocation and confer the degrees on the graduates.
Higher Education minister Basavaraj Rayareddi will grace the occasion, Dr. Karishiddappa said.
During 17th Annual convocation VTU is conferring 61790 B.E 384 B.Arch, 4592MBA, 2741 MCA, 4347 M.Tech, 15 M.Arch, 20 M,Sc (engg) Degrees, This year University is awarding Ph,D degrees to 302 Research scholars. Karishiddappa said.
Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology Chikmagaluru student Sachin keerthi N for having secured 13 (thirteen) Gold Medal including VTU Gold Medal including one VTU Gold Medal .
Dr. Karishiddappa said, Prof. Anil D Sahasraabudhe Hon’ble chairmans all India council for Technical Education New Delhi will be the chief guest and deliver the convocation address.
Padma Shri A .S Kiran kumar Chairman, Indian Space Research Organization, Bengaluru and secretary, department of space Government of India and Shri Anand Mahindra, Chairman Mahindra Group Mumbai will be conferred with “Doctor of Science” (Honoris Causia) On this occasion.
