District Collector visits Veerapur village on 16th
Belgaum, Dec As per the government’s wish to take the administration to its doorstep, District Collector MG Hiremath will visit Veerapur village in Kittur taluk on Saturday (Aug 16) to hear the people’s pleas.
During the village visit, farmers will review the records and services and take action to resolve issues.
At 8 o’clock in the morning, District Collector MG Hiremath was going to Veerapur village by bus from the sheriff’s office premises.
From 10 am, villagers will be receiving invitations and debating.
Officers of various departments including Department of Revenue, Land Survey and Land Records, Agriculture, Horticulture, Food, Public Works, Hesscom and Animal Husbandry were present during the visit.
The respective Tahsildars visit the village:
On the third Saturday of every month, the district inspectors visit a village and work to solve the problems of the people.
Similarly, the tahsildars of the respective taluk will also visit a village in the range of their taluk on the same day to resolve the peoples’ wishes.
Tehsils of 13 other taluks in the district, except Kittur, which are to be visited by the sheriffs, will also visit a village in the taluk on Saturday (Aug 16).
Description of villages to be visited by tahsildars:
Belagavi (Sonatti), Khanapur (Yadoga), Hookkeri (formerly), Bailahongala (Vakkunda), Ramadurga (Mudakavi), Savadatti (Shirasangi), Gokaka (Raderahatti), Moodalagi (Sanganakeri), Chikkodi (Shamanevaka), Athani, (Athani) Raiabaga (Jotti), Nippani (Shendura) and Kagawada (Mangasooli).
District Collector MG Hiremath said the Tahsildars would listen to the people’s concerns in these villages and take steps to address them.
